This is a dicsussion forum where teachers are encouraged to share lesson plans which feature the use of the AlphaSmart computers. This course is developed for teachers at Grades 1-4 in the Expanding Educational Horizons (EEH) schools. It is developed in response to teachers’ request for procedural information to assist them in their delivery of numeracy activities using Math Amigo. You will get the opportunity to explore the features of Math Amigo and discuss ways in which the software could be used to improve the numeracy skills of your students. This course,"I-NET 101" presents several websites that can be incorporated into instructioal planning and delivery and discusses criteria to be used when selecting websites for use in your lessons. This session, Possibilities with PowerPoint, is a production of the Educational Technology Component of Expanding Educational Horizons. It provides examples of how Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 can be used to develop interactive, multimedia, instructional materials to enhance literacy and numeracy in the primary curriculum. Digital Storytelling is the art of converting a personal account into a multimedia experience. It usually combines music, video and/or still images with an expressive voice. The outcome is an original creation that captivates the viewing audience. In this course you will be provided with resources to help you to create a digital story. This section will feature lesson plans and activities that descibe how the Numeracy Interactive Software has been used. This course provides guidelines on how to use Microsoft Excel to create quizzes. This course is for Technology Resource Teachers who have been assigned the task of managing technology resources in their schools. Teachers are provided with a handbook designed to help them to (a) develop an inventory of technology equipment, (b) work together with administration and teachers to develop and update a technology development plan (c) plan an outline for a tech-mentoring programme, (d) critique a technology infused lesson, (e) develop a technology log sheet and (f) describe ways to care for technology resources. | Welcome to www.eehschoolnet.com, the online professional development website hosted by Expanding Educational Horizons.
